The Esalen massage, which is based on the classic Swedish massage, has been developed at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California in the 60s. It has been added elements of various body therapies like Cranio - Sacral Therapy, Rolfing and Acupressure. A wonderful massage with long strokes, stretching, deep structural bodywork and passive joint movement was born. This full body massage, understands the man as a whole and let the energy flow free. At thesame time there is enough time to adress specific problem areas such as the neck and shoulder.

The Foot Reflexology treats the people as a whole (body, mind and soul), not just aspecific impairment. Through a special pressure technique, which targets defined reflex zones on the foot. The goal is to resolve tensions and thereby improve the blood supply to the reflexology zones and associated organs. As today's world many diseases are attributable to stress, this form of therapy has a holistic positive impact on such diseases.

 

The reflexology massage on the feet is an ancient form of therapy which has been practiced by various cultures around the world. The principle of reflexology massage is based on reflexpoints or zones on the feets which are associated with certain muscles, organs and glands.

This natural and gentle healing method was discovered by the Japanese Dr. Mikao Usui, which goes back to ancient Buddhist scriptures. The Japanese word rei ki means "universal life energy". Through the laying on of hands, energy blockages can be resolved. Whereas Reiki works with every person differently, it affects the body, emotions and mind. The overall effect is often described by clients as deep relaxation with a sense of peace and well-being.
